OPPO A5 Pro 4G 8GB + 256GB

OPPO A5 Pro 4G (8GB + 256GB)

Built for people who need a phone that can handle more than careful everyday use. The OPPO A5 Pro combines IP69 water and dust resistance, military-grade shock resistance, a large 5,800mAh battery and 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging in a slim everyday smartphone.

With 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and a 50MP camera, it is a strong choice for work, entertainment, travel and users who simply want a phone designed to last.

Built Tough for Real Life

IP69 Water & Dust Resistance

Rain, accidental splashes and demanding environments are less of a worry. The A5 Pro has passed IP66, IP68 and IP69 testing, including resistance to water immersion and high-pressure water jets under controlled laboratory conditions.

That makes it particularly attractive for people who work outdoors, travel frequently or simply want extra protection from everyday accidents.

Military-Grade Shock Resistance

The A5 Pro has also passed MIL-STD 810H military-grade shock testing, including multiple drop and impact tests.

OPPO reinforces the internal structure with protective cushioning and stronger screen protection to help the phone cope better with knocks and accidental drops.

Power Through Longer Days

A 5,800mAh battery gives you plenty of power for calling, messaging, social media, navigation, streaming and everyday work.

When it is time to recharge, 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging gets you back up and running without leaving the phone plugged in for hours.

Bright & Smooth for Everyday Use

The large 6.67-inch display supports up to a 90Hz refresh rate, giving scrolling, menus and everyday navigation a smoother feel.

Brightness reaches up to 1,000 nits, making the screen easier to see outdoors, while Gorilla Glass 7i adds extra protection to the front of the phone.

OPPO also includes Glove Touch support, which can be useful when using the phone while wearing compatible gloves.

Capture Everyday Moments in 50MP

50MP Main Camera

The 50MP main camera with autofocus gives you plenty of resolution for everyday photos, portraits and social media content.

You also get useful shooting modes including Night, Portrait, Pro, Panorama, High-Resolution, Time-Lapse and Dual-View Video.

8MP Selfie Camera

The front 8MP camera handles selfies, video calls and social content, with video recording available up to 1080p.

Built for Everyday Performance

The Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 octa-core processor is designed for dependable everyday performance across messaging, browsing, social media, streaming and multitasking.

With 8GB RAM + 256GB UFS 2.1 storage, there is plenty of room for apps, photos, videos and documents. Storage expansion is also supported if you need additional space later.

Stronger Connectivity with AI LinkBoost

OPPO’s AI LinkBoost is designed to improve signal reliability in crowded or weaker-signal environments, helping maintain a more stable connection when streaming, gaming or making calls.

You also get Dual SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, USB OTG, face recognition and a convenient side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Technical Specifications

Specifications are based on OPPO’s current Kenya listing for the CPH2711 variant.

Good to Know Before Buying

This is the 4G version of the OPPO A5 Pro. If 5G connectivity is important to you, make sure you choose the A6 Pro 5G variant instead.

Water and dust resistance are tested under controlled conditions and may reduce over time with normal wear, so they should be treated as added protection rather than making the phone waterproof in every situation.

Top Rank Verdict

The OPPO A5 Pro 4G stands out most for durability, battery life and everyday practicality.

Its IP69-rated protection and military-grade shock resistance make it particularly appealing to users who want a phone that can better handle demanding everyday use, while the 5,800mAh battery, 45W charging, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage give it the power and space needed for work and entertainment.

If you prioritize a tough build, long battery life and generous storage over 5G connectivity, this is one of the strongest reasons to choose the A5 Pro over a standard everyday smartphone.
